San Ramon's population surged between 2000 and 2010, growing 61 percent from 44,722 people to 72,148 people, according to a report delivered to City Council Tuesday night.

Ah the birth of little Fremont---or as it is now known--"Freakmont"---where your multi-generational families know how to get granny on the government dole even though granny never worked here and doesn't speak English..

Maybe my math skills have deceived me over the years, but I thought that 36% + 64% = 100%? How does that leave room for increases in the Hispanic and African American population?
