The California Highway Patrol officer killed in a shooting on Interstate Highway 680 last week near Alamo is being hailed as a hero after his organs were donated to four California residents -- including three from the Bay Area.

There is a fund set up at Wells Fargo Bank ... You can go into any Wells Fargo and let them know that you would like to contribute to the Youngstrom Family fund and they will handle it.

It's a sad day that a man has fallen during the line of duty...but I can't stop wondering if this officer may have saved many other lives as this disturbed shooter had an arsenal of weapons and ammo in his vehicle...where was he going? What was he planning on doing? We may never know. Officer Youngstrom paid the ultimate price. He is a hero and the other officer is as well, coming to his aid and ending the life of a very troubled individual. Why? Why? Why?
