Just wanted to put out there that i recently discovered that the BART parking structures do have cameras installed but DO NOT record anything. I found this out when my vehicle was recently vandalized while parked at Walnut Creek Bart structure. I had hoped that perhaps the cameras would help in the investigation but apparently they cannot. Those cameras are only used to monitor and do not record anything. I will be filing a complaint with BART on their lack of security and safety. Had these cameras been recording, there may be a chance these vandalizers would be caught or in this specific case, confirm whether or not suicide was the case or if foul play was involved.

Dear Mr. BART Rider...you have reason to complain...But I'm disappointed with your comment and the lack of the Danville Express to publish your comment.

You both just opened the door to more illegal activity at the BART Parking Lots. I'm surprised you didn't say the times BART monitors the camera activity. I hope that never comes out. But it would be interesting to know more about it. I'm sure the brains of BART management assign an officer with a pay rate of $75,000 plus a year to sit on his/her butt and watch the monitor..

BART...it is less expensive to record than to have an BART officer watch the monitor.

Sometime I wonder what and how people think.

Thank for listening, Julia Pardini from Alamo Ca
