Dawson Recall Proponents Back at Safeway with Sheriff's OK Around Town, posted by Hypocrit, a resident of another community, on Feb 5, 2012 at 12:21 pm
The recall proponents were again back at the Safeway shopping center. This time they were protected from the opponents harassment and false reports of criminal trespass by the sheriff's department.
The Dawson Mankin Piepho gang were furious that signature gatherers were allowed to exercise their rights. Even Dawson himself stood next to a petition gatherer but the intimidation did not work. This time the sheriff's department would not be fooled. People continued to sign the recall petition. Discovery Bay soon will be rid itself of the reckless intimidators.

The Sheriff's department was NOT protecting the signature gatherers!
What part of SAFEWAY has a policy against this don't you understand?
The Sheriffs Department is very aware of Mr. Don Flint violating Safeway's expressed policies yesterday. This is a CIVIL matter. The Sheriff is not picking a side. Their interest is in keeping the peace and public safety ONLY. It's not within their purview to decide a civil issue. That's far different than this ridiculous claim they were protecting you.
Safeway had a private investigator on site and of course their cameras taped the entire violation. Don Flint needs to hope they don't pursue further action. Mr. Doran, showing his true colors, left his buddy hanging there. He wouldn't have any part of getting that type of attention because one of his primary focuses is keeping up his image. Instead he comes in posting here with an appropriate alias of "Hypocrit".
A local newspaper editor sat and observed the entire violation take place-report to follow. But the best of all is that it was all recorded!! Less than 15 signatures gathered in 4 HOURS!! That is the most telling! Even worse, he wasn't bothering to ask if they were registered to vote in the District. So the inflated number he's trying to turn in will likely have significant disqualification. It's purely a face saving exercise at this point to turn in something ......anything actually.
Mr. Flint yaks about community support...I guess the community took the day off!

The Sheriff's Department was protecting the signature gatherers from your group without a doubt.
Trespassing is in no way a civil matter. You are either trespassing or you are not. Look it up in the California Penal Code. How do you know how many signatures were taken unless you are Brian? If you are so sure a crime was committed then why didn't you do a citizens arrest? You guys are so corrupt and think your above everyone and the law. Eventually the DA or Attorney General is going to put a halt to the antics of your gang of political Natzi Regimists.

As was shared with Ruth Roberts and you;
News service's counsel was able to clarify with property owners exactly where Safeway property rights are at their DB store. As a result, the parking lot is managed property by the property owners/management and cannot be governed by Safeway policy. Further, the actions last week were deemed probable violation of constitutional and civil rights of petitioners by US DoJ SF according to News Service SF offices. What is an extension of those violations of constitutional and civil rights is fraudulent reporting of harassment by petition opponents now further criminalized by continuing harassment reportedly by Mr. Dawson and his associates.
From Safeway’s viewpoint, it’s over tomorrow and they reportedly informed news services that they would only apply their policy to in front and inside their stores. So there is a story to tell with legal authorities watching any violations of such constitutional and civil rights by Safeway, petition opponents and public safety agencies for any combined criminal harassment."
As journalists, Ruth and you need to step in an fact-check these events with your quality reporting.

Hal, you should spend less time listening to the voices in your head and more time reading. A friend shared with me email responses sent to these people from the DOJ and they have you labeled as nuts just as the readers have here.
Albertson's v. Young 107 Cal. App. 4th 106 (2003)
Case law you should read. By the way, Mr. Flint parked himself immediately outside the door of Safeway, not in any questionable area of the parking lot. There are pictures and even video if you think appealing to the court of your cerebral cortex is going to give you an excuse.
Splitting hairs on this one is dumb. Safeway made their policy and their stance quite clear. Mr. Flint chose to give them the equivalent of his middle finger. The ball is in their court as to whether they take action against him.
Common sense and common courtesy should have ruled here. But this is Don freakin' Flint who marches to his own drummer and own set of rules.
Will you be accompanying your buddies to Martinez tomorrow? Looking forward to the filing so we can start analyzing the extent of the crimes and misdemeanors this group committed in election code violations during the campaign. Even snared some old Measure F opponents in Brentwood with illegal collection efforts in this one. SoS investigative team will be busy with this one!

Back to the FBI thing again, Mark? ROFL. If you only knew how many people laugh at you behind your back for that conspiracy theory. I know they just gave out citizen of the year award here. Do they have a village idiot plaque that you're gunning for?
On to Martinez! Let the democratic process go forward!!
