Why is this Danville news? We have low life folk coming into Walnut Creek, Danville and San Ramon all the time making trouble for the local police. Other than stop people on the border and ask for ID I don't see any simple solution other than make police presence so intense that they decide to go somewhere else.

As a Danville resident I appreciate hearing about the activities in the local area - San Ramon, Alamo, Walnut Creek. These are the areas wherei spend the majority of my time.

What type of clubs are attracting what type of people in Walnut Creek? It's never been like this. Someone please fill in the blanks.

LMP is right! Bars have NEVER attracted the kind of people who get drunk and fight! What's this world coming to? The ID checkpoint is definitely a good idea.

Hi Danville,

This is what Ive been saying all adong here about the germ-mongering aliens and street urchins who call themslves illegals and "po' fo'ks". This is why I say Mayor CandyAce should declare an emergency ordnance establishing Danville PD-staffed checkpoints at Town borders that deny entry to all minorities and even non-Hispanic whites who don't fall under a tax bracket of 28% or higher. For diplomatic purposes we could grant two-hour passes to the Spaniard types, but limit there movements to their Tacomas and the perimeters of our front yards.

To preserve the idealized and invented nostalgia of the Town I made up and love, MY 41,000-resident Town, this is what Danville needs right NOW. Just a thought.

Well.... Dick's sarcasm aside, perhaps the City of Walnut Creek should look at revoking a few business licenses given that these incidents are on the uptick. San Jose has always been too P-C to do that, and the results have been demonstrable on a weekly basis.

We must admit though that our two downtown dives get their share of brawls too. Just watch the police reports here for arrest reports in the 300 block of Hartz - there are some almost every week.

My wife and I were in that general vicinity on Saturday night, for dinner, and an event at the Lesher Center, and in fact were parked in one of the garages along Locust. But, we were also leaving by around 10:00 PM. Most of the fun seems to happen around 1 or 2AM, at closing time...

I always get a chuckle when reading of arrests that occur "early Sunday morning" (technically true), when it is (practically speaking) "very late Saturday night".

It's a sad commentary on our times, when it is almost a relief that it was merely fighting/brawling, and no one pulled out a knife or gun.

If only these guys could use their pent-up aggression for good, rather than evil....

It's only a matter of time before this activity starts leaking into other time periods. Pretty soon WC won't be a safe place to visit much less shop at.
