All-you-can-eat claws for paws

Join Tri-Valley Animal Rescue on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 6-10 p.m. for a Claws for Paws fundraising event with all-you-can-eat crab. The event is being held at the Shrine Event Center, 170 Lindbergh Avenue, Livermore. Tickets are $45 each through Sunday, Jan. 15, and $50 thereafter. Order your tickets online at www.tvar.org, or mail a check to TVAR, PO Box 11143, Pleasanton, CA 94588. Include e-mail address to get ticket confirmation electronically. Claws for Paws!! So the idea is to eat another animal to help a pet!

If you would prefer to just send TVAR a check and thus save a crustacean, I'm sure that they'd accept it, gladly. TVAR does very good work -- on a shoestring. Most years, their "saves" numbers compare very favorably with other local animal welfare organizations that are many times their size.

Please consider making your contribution where it's needed most, and does the most good!
