Macedonian mission feeds hundreds of children
Around Town, posted by Editor, Danville Weekly Online, on Nov 10, 2011 at 7:53 am

The amount of knocking, door bell ringing, phone calls and people at Vula Rushdoony's house have been exponentially greater than usual. Her driveway that faces Rutherford Drive, a normally serene street to drive along, has recently resembled a parking lot.

Each person involved in this ministry is blessing others, but I am sure they are also blessed by God with each step of service. Vula and Haig have touched the lives of more people than anyone will ever know, including those who volunteer and donate. Looking forward to the always amazing Boutique and thanking all of you who give so much. God bless you, Vula, for continuing this ministry when you could now just be relaxing!

great work, however i wonder if god is happier when we send all the money and goodies around the world , while there is just as much if not more good that could be done yes right here in the tri valley

Regarding Tom's comment. Yes, there is need here as well. But there are millions of people who would give anything to upgrade their lives to live here in the circumstances of our poor. There are those who work to help people here and there are also those led to help the even more unfortunate outside our borders. God does not differentiate - He just cares that we care.

Happen to know that The Macedonian Outreach has one of the lowest G&A ratios anywhere. Not certain of the exact amount; however, thanks to the many volunteers, it's probably less than 3%. That's almost unheard of in non-profits! That would mean that over 97% of every dollar given to TMO actually goes to the needy! Amazing and unique.

This is such a wonderful organization - it reflects the hearts of Vula and Haig! It is not an overstatement to say that Haig "poured his life" into this ministry! Vula continues to pour her heart into it- and WHAT a heart she HAS!! Nearly every penny goes straight to the ministry of helping this precious group of people....

Thank you, Danville Express, for spreading the word about Macedonian Outreach!
