Great story and two good friends of mine. Mike Doyle and Col. Halvorsen. I served on the Berlin Airlift also in the British Zone at RAF Station Celle. This is one of two bases jointly operated by the USAF and RAF. The Airlift was a wonderful operation and recognized as the "Greatest Humanatarian Effort" by our Military. Proud to have served.
