More BANG for our news buck!
State, National, International, posted by Ralph N. Shirlet, a resident of another community, on Aug 25, 2011 at 8:48 am

Dear Editor,

Today, a few neighbors were discussing how changes at BANG would affect the nature of news in Contra Costa County. Since Walnut Creek BANG facilities are to be closed and more papers consolidated with articles and editorials coming from San Jose and elsewhere the local political influence will be lessened in editorial content. Much like subscriber news service in our corridors BANG will likely take a more regional viewpoint with greater global news services research as basis for perspective of reported news and editorials.

So as an editor, how do you see our daily and weekly news being impacted when Contra Costa politics cannot influence news content and perspective? How will you change the Express in such a competitive environment?

Of Ralph enjoying a new view
