It's a matter of personality and Oprah! State, National, International, posted by Darren Carter, a resident of another community, on Mar 12, 2008 at 7:37 am
Dear Neighbors,
"if Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept," Ferraro said.
Senator Barack Obama is finding success in his Presidential campaign based on appearance and personality, and a great deal of Oprah. Ms. Ferraro appropriately pointed to the concept of Senator Obama's personality was created for him by the media including most notably Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah elected California's Governor with the same use of personality and popularity. Ms. Ferraro simply held a mirror up to Obama supporters so they could see themselves as personality and idol worshipers.

Dear neighbors,
We are attempting to pick the next President and we can't depend on the media. Today, John McCain became a trigger-happy lunatic in media reporting too frightening to be considered our designated commander-in-chief. Barack Obama continued to illustrate that he does not understand global markets and USA participation globally. Geraldine Ferraro made perfect sense about all of it and had to resign from the Clinton campaign. And Hillary Clinton made complete sense and the media wants to second-guess her commentary.
This is a version of Survivor, all scripted and not at all real. Thus, I have to ask when the real campaigns will start and who will actually have a chance at being our next President. I see that as a pressing issue because we have not done well without a President for the last 7+ years.

Dear Don and neighbors,
I am frightened to see John McCain running on the failure of the Bush Administration and positioning himself as a nut-case gunslinger who's violence will only add to our global demise as an economic participant. Where do the Republicans get these folks?
What frightens me more is the very violent prejudice among 48% or more of USA voters that are too globally ignorant to do anything but vote for John McCain. There is violence, selfishness, prejudice and dogmatic ignorance among us that promotes gunslingers such as John McCain.
