The Three Stooges
State, National, International, posted by [removed], a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Aug 16, 2011 at 4:07 pm

Dear Editor,

News services are distributing humor without intention of late as our nation’s voters become aware of how silly politics is at all levels. Economists, political educators, and many leading columnists are starting to enjoy the humor of politics as they report the risks USAmericans face in accepting the commentary of the various incumbents and candidates that ignore our global economy, community and humanity. Humor spread rapidly this afternoon as Rick Perry, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann have become broadly identified as the Three Stooges of ignorant, isolated politics. “They only open their mouths to change feet,” noted one very conservative editor, “as they demonstrate how little they know about democracy and capitalism and virtually every other economic subject.”

We might have our version of the Three Stooges as CCC supervisors and certainly we all are laughing at the Embarcadero Freeway Memorial being built in downtown Danville across the face of SRVHS, but we need to face such humor will wear thin as ignorant, authoritarian politics becomes less and less funny to our nation’s voters.

Let us hope that we are not equally ignorant in our 2012 voting.
