Around Town, posted by Editor, Danville Weekly Online, on Jun 13, 2011 at 6:45 pm

Dear Editor,

Financial press and corporate sites have fully explained this event.

REF: Web Link

Please review and provide your readers the reality. Subscriber news service explained this result early last week including the treatment of employees that will likely join the new owners staff.

"...shutting the 65 restaurants could eliminate 270 Bay Area jobs."

Those numbers do not add up. This means each restaurant had 4.15 employees. I think a decimal place may have slipped...

Dear Editor,

Not all 65 restaurants are in the bay area.

I have liked Marie Calendar's for years, especially the pies.

Which locations are being kept open?

Let's help them out by finding out and being clear about which local locations are still open and operating.

OPEN:

Walnut Creek ?

Concord ?

CLOSED:

San Ramon

Dear Editor,

Only franchises in Santa Clara County will remain open. All East Bay and North Bay locations are to close.

correct Hal...those workers are out of a job...pizzmac...just read the website...one more reason for you to hate Obama and Jerry..LOL...

their fault was poor location and menu selection. TGI friday's soon to come, every time I eat at TGI Friday's I have to eat again when I get home so I am full...

Their food didn’t taste very good. If you’re going to serve unhealthy food, then at least make it taste good, so it's kind of worth the calories.

I wish there were more healthy choices in the valley. Ever been to Pluto’s in Davis or Palo Alto? It’s always packed, the food tastes good, and it’s good for you. I wish someone would open something like that around here.
