Dear Editor,

This collection of questions deserves answers, most factual and some humorous facts.

1. There is no archive of the movies played at the village theater or the last showing, but, Leonard, accept that the Danville neighborhoods forum is researching this question.

2. Emily, these are the olden days because Danville is trapped by leadership in the past which might concern you as our region’s future.

3. Aiden, if you write to the Union Pacific in Omaha NE and ask for the history of our valley in Southern Pacific records you will see all the original flow of the San Ramon Creek. If you contact the US Army Corp of Engineers you will be provided the flood control actions that define the current creek.

4. Charlotte, the same SPRR records will provide the right-of-way information in our valley, companion lines including the electric passenger rail line and the trains to Diablo, plus the connections to continental and state travel at Oakland and Sacramento.

5. There was a great deal of conflict in the San Ramon and related valleys in 1880 to 1910 that included cattle rustling and old west gun fights, Carl. Stop by the Museum of the San Ramon Valley and better understand the conflicts between original Spanish settlers and the Irish immigrants. San Ramon was originally Limerick during that time of transition from Spanish/Mexican rule.
