Streetwise: How prepared are you for a disaster?

As the Mississippi rises in the southern states, residents of Danville can thank their lucky stars that the nearest body of water is a creek. Recently, roving reporter Stan Wharton went to the emergency preparedness meeting at the town meeting hall to ask How prepared are you for a disaster?

Well, you folks in Danville can thank your luck star that flooding is not your problem...but you sure do need to be ready for a disaster. A disaster can come in many shapes and sizes.

I wouldn't worry about Danville being flooded, fooled by their town government is more like it.
