McNerney Votes to CRUSH the Dreams of Low Income DC Students to Receive Quality Education
Schools & Kids, posted by McNerneyCares???, a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Apr 4, 2011 at 10:46 am

Our "esteemed" BigUnion Representative McNerney votes to crush the dreams of low income DC students who were thriving in a quality DC school. Just look at the differences between the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program compared with DC Public Schools.

He voted AGAINST the Scholarship Opportunity and Responsibility Act (HR 471). A vote against this Act is a vote AGAINST KIDS and in favor of unions...plain and simple.

The DC Opportunity Scholarship Program (DCOSP), reported that 91% of DCOSP students graduate, compared to 70% of students with similar characteristics, and compared to about 55% of all DC public school students.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the DC educational program above, here is a short but revealing video about it.

At the end of the video, parents and students ask Obama and the Democrats who are against this program ... WHY? WHY? WHY?

(They should learn that the democrats place a much higher priority on providing payback to UNIONS...who will in turn vote to keep them in office...than on providing opportunity for kids thru quality education).

Here is the short video >>> Web Link

The Republican Sponsored Scholarship Opportunity and Results Act (SOAR -- H.R. 471) will allow the capital district a savings of $15 million. The program provides vouchers of $7,500 to low income, primarily minority students, to attend a private school, but takes no money away from public schools or charter schools.

You think McNerney cares about children's quality education? Think again.

Mcnerney is a political hack. He cares nothing about better education fro those stuck in horrid schools. Ironic he didn't urge comrade Obama to put his own girls in a DC school rather than megabucks SIDWELL friends! His vote is not surprising. Pelosi (friend of George Soros and the "change" machine) tell Mcnerney HOW to vote! Remember this is the same hack who applauded the prez of MEXICO after he trashed the USA on the floor of congress!!!!!

Mcnerney is one of the biggest phonies. He plays at being the mild-mannered Everyman but the veneer has worn off. Go to one of his community get togethers and watch how his staff of thug robots order the "constituents" around. It is a scene from a gulag---especially when they take over the forum if someone asks a question slightly uncomfortable for good OLD Jerry.

Geez guys, what do you expect for $250,000 a year, all expenses paid and life time benefits?

Hurray for unions. Without them, we'd just be another communist country.
