Are you afraid to cross the street in Alamo?
Around Town, posted by Osymo Ron, a resident of another community, on Feb 6, 2008 at 9:36 am

Oh my Dolores, so many opportunities for humor and so little time!

Are you afraid to cross the street in Alamo?

The answer is YES, I am afraid who I might meet on the other side!

Smile,

OX

Dear OX,

Do you remember when your mother told you to look both ways when you crossed the street. It seems you are suggesting a 180 degree sweep of the street and the curb across from you. Are you suggesting that certain Alamo people are more dangerous than the cars they drive?

"Paranoia, paranoia, how I enjoy yah, paranoia!" would apply if neighbors were only having delusions of persecution, but your humor is well-taken.

I'll watch your six, laughingly,

Keith

Dear OX,

I don't know any STREETS in Alamo. There are roads, boulevards, avenues, courts and lanes, but where are the STREETS. Before I know if I have any fear of crossing such STREETS, I need to know where they are so I can conduct my own test.

Can someone post a street name and directions for me?

Leslie

Madly, Leslie, I rushed out the door, up Livorna to the park and on to EASY STREET. I crossed back and forth, and then walked down the middle of the street.

I had no fear. We should not fear Streets! But, be concerned in crossing anything in our business center where we might be noticed.

Hey nieghbors,

Sounds like downtown Alamo California, you need to look out for snipers!

So dumb. Do you really all have THAT much time on your hands? Really shows that rich people do have a lot of time on their hands and put that time into dumb things.

Or maybe you don't understand the sensitivity of this subject.

Dear HA! and neighbors,

Humor, serious humor, brings commentary and consideration. It is obvious that Danville Blvd does not belong in the Alamo business district due to the traffic it invites. In other postings, removal of Danville Blvd has been given serious justification and consideration.

In this exchange, Iron Horse Corridor neighbors are reviewing dangers beyond crossing the road as the issues of political retaliation that have occurred against various neighbors since December 17, 2007. In humor, neighbors suggested that both dangers are REAL, crossing the road and what might be on the other side.

Clearly, people are more dangerous than the cars they drive.
