Open house tonight about the I-680 project

Caltrans will host an open house for the I-680 Roadway Rehabilitation Lane Extension Project tonight from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, at the San Ramon Community Center, Fountain Room, 12501 Alcosta Blvd. The public is invited to attend. I sure hope that they are not finished repairing the regualr traffic lanes from Alamo to Danville going South! Never mind the rehabilitation lane extension project. Just look at the second lane and tell me if you see an improvement! We are beginning to look like a 3rd world country.

One giant step to save tri-valley mankind would be to lower the speed limit from 85mph to 50mph in the areas where barricades and lane changes are required. This might add one or two minutes to a trip from Danville to Walnut Creek but would reduce the carom shots off the barricades and the fender "kisses" as sudden lane changes occur.
