Dear Supervisor Piepho,
Let us ask what Contra Costa County District III residents want to know about your new chief of staff? Let us determine her importance in your political future at this critical time in your constituant support.

What are the limits on the sizes of each supervisor's staff?
Is it a cost limit? A size limit?
How much are these people paid?
Why does Ms. Peipho need a Chief of Staff? Her staff is only 4 people! In the real world, ie, the private sector, it's unusual for 1 person to supervise another who then supervises 4 people! We call it WASTE!
Why can't Ms. Piepho supervise these people herself?

Supervisor Mary Piepho has been through approximately 11 employees since she has been in office. This will be the third chief of staff since she was elected. I guess those comments from ex-employees about her explosive personality speaks for itself. As I recall, Supervisor Greenberg and the other Supervisors have had little turnover. That says volumes about Supervisor Piepho's experience and inability to manage people and affairs. It can't be all the employees fault, she needs to share some of the blame for a huge turnover of staff.

Not quite a good comparison to past Supervisors. Let's not forget Gail Bishop who's staff turned on her due to her bad temper and all the legal uproar that followed. At least one of Peipho's ex-employees was the one who was explosive not the reverse.
To the original point all of the area's Supervisors going back years have had Chief's of Staff, schedulers and community liaisons. Seems 4 or 5 staff is pretty average.
