Why would someone break into a chiropractic office? Just to steal computers? They couldn't have many customers paying cash, and even if they did you would have to assume they had a safe.
I hate to advocate for Big Brother, but if the trend continues the town and some of the retailers may need to think about cameras. They are a lot, lot cheaper to set up than they were ten years ago.
I don't mean to sound like paranoid Ricky but it does seem bay area criminals are finding Danville to be the land of dupes & easy targets.

I want to make sure I am doing everything possible to protect my business and the others around me. Maybe we can learn form these events. Beyond the suggestions noted, it would be nice to know:
1. Were security systems present in these three cases and if so, were they armed? If they were present and armed, this suggests a bit more sophisticated burglar(s).
2. Can we provide a more narrow estimation of time? The article states "...in the evening hours..."
I would also suggest motion sensor or timer controlled lighting as an added deterent.

Good morning!
Thanks to Derek and East End Business Owner for raising some great questions.
We certainly appreciate your concerns and we want all of our residents and businesses to be as safe as possible. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing investigation we can't discuss the specific details of those burglaries.
What we would like to do, though, is encourage business owners to contact the Danville Police Department and set up a meeting with an officer to discuss how best to keep your business safe. To schedule a security check, contact Detective Ben Alldritt at (925) 314-3700 or balldritt@danville.ca.gov.

I have even a better question: Why would anyone in their right mind go to a chiropractor? You do not even need a college degree to get into chiropractic school, and most of them were C or worse students in high school. These so called "doctors" run these ads claiming they can cure everything under the sun. Of course, they claim to be against medications and surgery, because in CA they are not allowed to prescribe medications or do surgery. Chiropractice was started by a Mr. Palmer who claimed he restored a deaf patients hearing by allegedly just pressing on his spine.

This is in response to "Question"... what in the world does your comment have to do with the article? You might want to find another forum for your "opinions".

Hey Bucko! Don't knock chiropractors unless you know what you are talking about. Chiropractors HAVE higher education not to be critized! Breaking into these Danville business has nothing to do with the education of the property the theives broke into. Let's hope the Danville Police Department are doing their jobs and investigating these crimes and hopefully stopping these thugs!
