What's the real reason Jerry Brown ran for governor?
State, National, International, posted by Rick Pshaw, a resident of the Danville neighborhood, on Nov 7, 2010 at 9:23 am

The real reason is that he wanted the challenge of running and winning and that's all. He will do nothing, repeat nothing, while in office except to prop up the reputation of his previous stint as governor. It's the same reason that Jimmy Carter will go on any talk show and talk to any media person about his failed presidency. He has become pathetically distanced from reality.

The same thing will happen to Jerry Brown. His run for office was just an ego test which he passed. He will soon ask the same question that Robert Redford asked in "The Candidate" – "Now what do I do?"

What he does won't be pretty.

Dear Dolores and Gina,

Neighborhoods would like you to engage in clarifying the issues of exchanges started with political purposes rather than discussions of issues. It seems logical in this exchange to ask your readers "What should Jerry Brown pursue as the will and interests of the people of California?" It might be interesting to ask readers to consider what President Carter's impact should be on California's future, if any?"

With California having a rational government focused on services to the people of California, it would seem Californians have a better opportunity to direct such services when compared to the remainder of the United States of America. Cost-Only approach to government only strangles the ability of governments to perform services and create investment in economic growth.

What are your readers' priorities for California?

Hal: Instead of all this relentless didacticism on behalf of imaginary friends, why not just express the opinions you seek, representing yourself, and see if that generates a higher-browed discussion? If you do, the I, for one, promise to play nice and try to elevate the conversation as high as I'm capable, in the general direction of "ideas." Web Link

I'll agree that Ricky's scoop above betrays a fairly prominent sagittal crest, but what you're doing hasn't worked -- and as we all learnt from the Meg & Arnold ad ...
