Bay Area police are on call, awaiting the outcome of the trial of a BART officer charged in the death of an unarmed Oakland man. The verdict is expected to come at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 7. I totally don’t understand people destroying their own neighborhoods, rioting, and committing more violence just because they don’t agree with something! A life is gone, isn’t that bad enough? Why make it worse?

Don't forget an innocent Johannes Mehserle man's life has also been ruined. A BART officer does the best he can to maintain order and safety on the BART system, only to have it ruined by some hoodlum resisting arrest on New Year's eve. Oakland attorney John Burris was only interested in the criminal trial to ruin some man's life bolstering his pending civil suits against BART, which will now surely bring in the big, big dollars.

Mehserle verdict fair? Read this similar Madera Police Department incident, not only was the assailant in the backseat of the patrol car, but handcuffed, unlike Oscar Grant III. Officer mistook .40 caliber Glock handgun for Taser. No formal charges were filed, ruled accident, no criminal neglegence.
