Tis the season to be HOLLY Around Town, posted by Holly Davenport, Morro Bay, a resident of another community, on Dec 6, 2007 at 7:24 pm
I was recently invited to house-sit and enjoy the holiday season in Alamo.
I loved the welcome I received and the curiosity of my neighbors. As I sat in the afternoon sun, with a fine syrah and sliced cheese and apples, I was asked, "Isn't it a little early?" I responded, "Maybe for sex!" knowing I didn't agree with that thought.
"A young woman like you, alone and sipping wine," the conversation continued, "we usually enjoy our wine around seven." I suggested that they find the same seven and come over immediately because I had plenty of syrah.
My question is, "is there anyone in Alamo that is willing to talk to me during the holidays? I so want to have a HOLLY, jolly, Christmas while I am here. I am sure that Alamo is not only Puritans."
Thank GOD for Walnut Creek! Oh, and God, nice job on Livermore!

Dear Holly,
It was amazing to have the majority in Alamo meet you after reading your rich and humorous review of a few Alamo neighbors. As you can see by the Alamo neighborhoods holiday reception, the younger majority of neighbors in Alamo are quite cosmopolitan and exciting people. So exciting that our reception had to be held in the excitement of Walnut Creek.
AS one of the older set amongst the neighbors hosting the reception, I enjoyed your contribution to the liveliness of the event.
Vince
