Alamo Incorporation Movement (AIM) is starting their fund raising drive to fund AIM Incorporation Application, Review and Approval, and Election. Looking beyond the issue of the petition’s misrepresentation as “only requesting a feasibility study,” each neighbor must now consider what will be AIM’s terms of incorporation within the application’s Incorporation Proposal. To fund the application, review and approval, and election without knowing the terms of incorporation to be considered could have Alamo neighbors funding an autonomous city government without citizens’ participation and oversight. As all neighbors now recognize, the incorporation proposal summary within the AIM petition, that most of you never saw or were offered review, clearly states that Alamo will be ruled by an autonomous five member city (town) counsel.
Alamo neighbors, their neighborhood groups and their sponsors should demand a defined incorporation proposal to their terms and specifications prior to any contribution or participation in any fund raising event. If AIM, or LAFCo in support of AIM, refuses such terms and specifications, then all funding by the majority in Alamo should be directed to 1) counsel’s development and submission of a conflicting incorporation proposal within a separate application, and 2) opposition groups in opposition to incorporation of an autonomous government.

Dear Alamo neighbors,
Beyond the obvious interests of AIM committee and supporters, there is little to fear in the result of AIM's efforts. They are less than 1000 residents in Alamo that do not have majority support for their fund raising or any eventual incorporation election.
We, in the Tice Valley neighborhoods of the Alamo Region, have not been lied to by AIM petition volunteers. We have been excluded from AIM's special definition of THEIR town, whatever that is, and the opportunity to consider signing the petition.
So let's just vote no! No money for incorporation application, study and approval. A majority NO vote if AIM gets as far as a incorporation election.
