On Sunday, February 28th the St. Isidore's 8th grade Men's "American" team came back from an 8 point deficit with 2 minutes left to win the TRI-VALLEY CYO championship game 31-30. The win was over St. Joan of Arc. The game was close until the end of the 3rd period, when St. Joan's pulled away. But with both outstanding offense and defense St. Isidore staged a most exciting comeback. The comeback was headed by Trevor John who scored 6 of the last 10 points of the game. Outstanding defense was played by Brandon Lim, Rishi Satoor, Kaelib Thomas and Shay Kapulica. ALL players PLAYED hard and agressively, each played an instrumental role in helping their team win the championship.

The teams overall regular season record was 9-1, play offs 2-0; they also were also division champions of the "Michael Enea Holiday Tournament and Queen of All Saints Tournament."

Players from left to right:

Rishi Satoor, Justin Hill, John Mackey, Trevor John, Kaelib J.T. Thomas, Shay Kapulica, Brandon Lim, Michael Musselman, Cody Dalton, Brendan Pedley. Coach: Dave Goldman Assistant Coach: Duke Dalton(not pictured)

First congratulations to all the boy's they did an outstanding job. Would also like to mention Justin Hill who played stellar defense in shutting down St. Joan's best player all game long. Rishi Satoor who scored the game winning shot with 12 seconds to go B. Lim, who actually scored 5 of the last 10 points and also came up with the game winning steal.

Adding further to the long list of St. Isidore players who played outstanding defense in the championship game: please add John Mackey, followed by Cody Dalton.
