It is becoming more & more apparent with all the recent events in the news that our State law enforcement is too understaffed to properly monitor registered sexual predators. It would be nice if there was a report on how many live in our community and if a direct link was available to access information about them.

There's actually a law that requires all sex offenders to register, Megan's Law and a Web site where you can search where the offenders live in your area. Visit Web Link.

Dear Alamo resident,

In the early days of the Danville Weekly we were able to get the police log from the Valley Station in Alamo. But then the Sheriff's Department started making it available only in Martinez and we do not have the manpower to pick it up there. Sorry - wish we could.
