Dear Dolores,

As Walnut Creek is the hub of our region, I enjoyed today's walk and visiting the ice rink at Civic Park.

The very wonderful, young staff wanted me to strap on some skates and enjoy the ICE. I suggested that I would rather simply lay on the ice to kill the pain of injury to my neck and shoulder.

What a wonderful event for the hub of our region. It saves long-distance travel south to other venues.

Walnut Creek offers ice for skaters and a tent for those that watch. There is vending machines for those that would watch their friends and youngsters enjoy the ice. Certainly there is many places close by to celebrate the season with food, spirits and spirit.

Walnut Creek is the center of our celebration of many holidays at this time of year and deserves a visit.

Hal
