The importance of being Earnest
Original post made by Hal Bailey on Sep 16, 2009
In commentary, we humans have developed the skill of avoiding communication and creating confrontation. Beyond any six characters in search of an author are the TDW Forum pseudonyms in search of a forum for their commentary. Such commentary makes these pseudonyms characters much like the characters in Pirandello's play who can only find meaning when authors offer opportunity for commentary.
Among six characters on the TDW Forum, as Alamo Ron, Oxymo Ron, Rick, Informed Resident, AskIdo, and more, we see the ability to avoid content and seek confrontation with contempt. What are needed are authors that can achieve commentary with communication illustrating the importance of being earnest. With such earnest effort will come dialog and consideration of issues without gauntlets and other trappings of the human tragedy, the lack of communication.
Or is that humanly possible?
