Thank you for your article on "Muslims in the Valley." Thanks also to Dr. Rana, Rabbi Goldblatt, and Pastor Harms for their leadership in the San Ramon Valley Interfaith effort.

The acceptance of muslim community, its mosque in the area and the overall relationship with other religous groups has been a team effort. Dr Rana has done a fantastic job of leading this group along with other community members. Diligent efforts of the last 5-6 yrs are now paying off. These efforts need to be continued by our younger generation as well.

It's interesting that the opening line in your story is, "Bloodshed persists among Muslims and Jews...", as if there is only one conflict in the world in which Muslims participate. There are no Jews involved in the Muslim wars in Darfur, or Sudan, or Chechnya, or anywhere except Israel, right? I'm sure there are many civilized Muslims in San Ramon, but the wars of Islam are against the entire Western world, not just Jews.
