Military honor for Sentinels founder Mike Conklin
Danville resident Mike Conklin, founder of the Sentinels of Freedom, is being inducted into the rolls of the Honorary Members of the 75th Ranger Regiment. He traveled to Fort Benning, Ga., for the induction that took place Aug. 4 in conjunction with Ranger Rendezvous events scheduled the first week in August.
"Your unparalleled service to and support of The Regiment is worthy of the honor you have been bestowed," wrote Col. Rich Clarke when informing Conklin of the honor.
Conklin is chairman and CEO of the Sentinels of Freedom, an organization based in San Ramon that helps those severely injured from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan return to civilian life and achieve their life goals.
