County needs EEO advisory members
The Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity has vacancies for three community representative seats. The function of the Advisory Council is to serve as an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors regarding the county's Affirmative Action Plan; review the Affirmative Action Program; and recommend actions to help the county attain its goals for affirmative action. All members serve without compensation.
Meetings are held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. the fourth Friday of each month at the County Administration Building, 651 Pine St., Martinez. For information, call the county Affirmative Action Office at 335-1045. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 31.
The county is also accepting applications for committees for Alamo Beautification, Steering Committee for Zone 36; police protection services for Round Hill; Alamo/Lafayette Cemetery District; Mental Health Commission; and the county Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board.
