 | A missing at-risk Danville resident was found safe in unincorporated Kern County. Nicholas Tutino, 83, was reported missing around noon on March 19.
According to Danville police Lt. Jeff Moule, Tutino was found in Frazier Park, an unincorporated community in the Tejon Pass.
A Frazier Park resident called 9-1-1 reporting a suspicious subject and the Highway Patrol officer responding to the call identified Tutino.
Tutino was taken to an area hospital for observation.
"We are very appreciative of the assistance we received from both the Kern County Sheriff's Office as well as the CHP," Moule said. "We are very happy for the Tutino family that this situation was resolved safely and quickly."
Tutino left his home on Tuesday and seen driving a gray 2006 Toyota Camry. Attempts to locate Tutino's cell phone placed him in Kern County. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
