Alamo woman hit by car while crossing street

 | An Alamo resident was taken to Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek with non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle.
A gray Volkswagen hit the 52-year-old woman while she crossed Danville Boulevard in front of Alamo Women's Club. California Highway Patrol Officer John Fransen said the incident happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
The 60-year-old Martinez man driving stopped after the collision. The accident is currently under investigation.

Posted by peggy, a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Feb 25, 2013 at 3:38 pm When, oh when? will the speed limit and pedestrian laws be enforced in Alamo? It is inexcusable that anything goes once a driver hits unincorporated Danville Boulevard.
