'Tis the season for financial aid

In this week's Doing College expert admissions advisor Elizabeth LaScala discuses the FAFSA, which becomes available to fill out on Jan. 1, 2013.

"Since many colleges award federal and institutional aid on a first-come, first-served basis, it is important to prepare ahead of time so you can get your FAFSA filed within the first couple of weeks of January," LaScala writes.
