Hayward man arrested in connection with Nov. 9 hit and run

San Ramon Police arrested a Hayward resident in connection with a hit-and-run collision that critically injured an elderly man on Nov. 9.
Police located the late-model Nissan Altima described in the accident and arrested Zaid Masood Khan, 32, on Friday afternoon. Khan was booked at Martinez Detention Facility on charges of felony hit and run resulting in injury and for probation violation; there is no bail allowed.
Khan is the suspected driver that hit an 82-year-old pedestrian on Village Parkway south of Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon. The victim suffered critical injuries and remains hospitalized.
