Apparent suicide reported at Best Western

An out-of-town guest at the Best Western on Sycamore Valley Road was found dead Friday in an apparent suicide, according to police.

A 57-year-old man was found by relatives in his room at 12:11 p.m., said Police Chief Steve Simpkins. The man died of an apparent combination of alcohol and medication but left no note or clear indication that could lead police to determine whether the death was deliberate.

The case is currently under investigation.
