Early risers will have the chance to breakfast with the mayor on Friday, Oct. 5. Held on the first Friday of each month at Father Nature's (172 E. Prospect Ave.), Mayor Newell Arnerich and other town officials meet with residents to discuss issues and concerns.

While previous meetings have focused on a particular topic, October's breakfast will be more of an open forum. The September meeting, the first to use an open forum topic, focused on safety and development.

"We're trying out not having a topic, instead allowing our mayor to spend more time to talk about what's going on and what's coming," Nat Rojanasathira, assistant to the town manager, said last month.

Morning with the Mayor takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Those unable to attend can view a recording of the meeting online at the [www.danville.ca.gov town website.
