Rakestraw Bookswill host food writer Luisa Weiss on Thursday, Sept. 27 at noon, when she'll be reading from and signing her debut memoir, "My Berlin Kitchen: A Love Story (with Recipes)."

Call the bookstore at 937-7337 so they know you're coming, and bring $10 (includes lunch) to find out how Weiss found the courage to turn her life upside down and still find herself standing up...and happy. Rakestraw Books is at 522 Hartz Avenue in Danville.
