Attend a lecture on basic pruning and aesthetic techniques

The Ruth Bancroft Garden will host a lecture by pruner Dennis Makishima. Learn the scientific and horticultural basics of how to prune trees and shrubs while also learning the aesthetic techniques that enhance the finished product in your garden. The lecture is from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at The Ruth Bancroft Garden *1552 Bancroft Road, Walnut Creek). Cost $20 for general admission and $12 for garden members.
