Thousands lose power Wednesday afternoon
|
More than 3,200 PG&E customers in Danville were without power Wednesday afternoon, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
At the peak of the outage, which began at 3:03 p.m., 3,250 customers were affected by the outage, which was caused by a downed wire in the 1300 block of Mustang Drive, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said.
As of 5 p.m. 800 customers still had no power. By 5:30 p.m. all but 30 were expected to have power restored, Sarkissian said.
Those last remaining households should have power by 8:30 p.m., she said.
Crews are at the site of the problem on Mustang Drive working to resolve the problem, she said.— Bay City News Service Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
