The San Mateo County Coroner's Office has released the identify of a San Ramon woman who apparently drowned in an outdoor hot tub at a Menlo Park hotel early Saturday morning. Keri Michelle Long, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Menlo Park police are continuing their investigation into the apparent drowning at the Best Western Plus Riviera hotel at 15 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.
Police were called to the hotel at about 5:34 a.m. Saturday and found hotel staff and the victim's friend performing CPR. Paramedics with the Menlo Park Fire District arrived and Long was pronounced dead, according to Sgt. Tim Brackett of the Menlo Park Police Department.
The woman was found in the hot tub by a friend and she was not responsive, police were told.
A preliminary investigation indicated that there were no signs of foul play, and that Long's death appeared to be accidental, Menlo Park police spokeswoman Nicole Acker said.
Police are awaiting the results of toxicology results from the San Mateo County coroner's office, which could take about two weeks, Acker said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Menlo Park Police Department Investigations Unit at (650) 330-6300.
