San Ramon Police have issued a warrant for the fourth suspect associated with the May 30 robbery of the Gold N Treasures store at 2550 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in which one suspect was fatally shot.

Suspect Michael L. Porter, 20, has been outstanding since the crime occurred. Porter, whose last known address is in Hayward, is black, with black hair and brown eyes, weighs approximately 190 pounds and is 6'3". Porter's warrant is for robbery, false imprisonment and conspiracy, with a bail mount of $300,000.

Four men attempted to rob the jewelry store at around 4:30 p.m. May 30. The victims and witnesses reported that four suspects entered the store, said police; at least one of them was armed with a handgun.

Store personnel and a customer were present at the time of the robbery, according to police reports. During the robbery, a victim armed himself with a handgun and shot the armed suspect, who was identified as Kibrom Bairu, 18, a Hayward resident.

The suspects fled from the store, and suspect Bairu collapsed on San Ramon Valley Boulevard in front of the store, police said. He was arrested by arriving officers and transported to San Ramon Valley Regional Medical Center by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead. The other three suspects left the scene in a mid-90s white sedan.

Police arrested a second suspect, Krishneel Prasad, 19, of Hayward, on June 1.

Anyone with information regarding Porter's whereabouts is encouraged to call the San Ramon Police at 973-2763.
