Motorists should be advised that Hartz and East Prospect avenues will be closed down this evening for the Danville Thursday Night Street Festival.

Between 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. the following streets will be affected: Hartz Avenue from Diablo Road to School Street; East Prospect between Front Street and Hartz and northbound Hartz Avenue between Hartz Way and School Street.

The street festival is from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. A large crowd is expected so there will be pedestrian traffic through the area. Motorists are asked to drive with caution.

Diablo Road, Railroad Avenue or Front Street are available as alternate routes through the downtown area.
