Danville teen pleads guilty to assaulting Idaho woman

An 18-year-old Danville resident pleaded guilty to attacking a woman last summer after she offered the hitchhiking teen and his friend a ride in Idaho's Hope Peninsula.
Marshall Owens Dittrich pleaded guilty to battery with the intent to commit robbery on Monday, according to The Bonner County Daily Bee. Prosecutors alleged that, on July 31, 2011, Dittrich and Joseph Martin of Denver, Colo., (both 17 at the time) were running away from a therapeutic boarding school in Montana when they decided to hitch a ride along state Route 200.
According to the Daily Bee, Hope resident Vera Gadman, 66, picked up Dittrich and Martin who said they were looking for a campsite. When Gadman stopped her vehicle at an undeveloped cul-de-sac so the juveniles could examine a map, the two suddenly attacked her.
"They…decided they were going to take her car by whatever means necessary," Det. Sgt. Gary Johnston with the Bonner County Sheriff's Department told the Express last summer.
Gadman was choked and hit in the head with a glass bottle before attempting to run from the vehicle. She was followed by the teens, which continued their attacks before abruptly fleeing on foot. Gadman was later transported to Bonner General Hospital.
The assailants were found on the morning of Monday, Aug. 1 "barefoot, covered in bug bites and pretty much ready to give up."
Dittrich's plea agreement recommends a sentence of three to 10 years in prison; he will be sentenced on Sept. 7. Martin was sentenced in May to three to 15 years in prison.

Maybe you need to get some glasses. The teen was at a PRIVATE therapeutic boarding school in Montana. BTW, I'm sure your kids, if you have any, are "perfect" aren't they?
