San Ramon Valley Unified School District will host the third event in its speaker series, "The Skills and Ethics Needed for Success in the 21st Century," on Wednesday night. The series has featured two speakers, Kevin Lovell and Pat Lencioni, who will focused their discussions on teens and their parents.

Danville Councilmember Newell Arnerich will headline the third speech of the four-part series at Monte Vista High School's theater (3131 Stone Valley Road, Danville)offering inspiration and insight in "Am I a leader? You bet! You just may not know it yet!"

Arnerich was first elected to the Danville Town Council in 1995 and was elected mayor in 1999, 2004 and 2008. He serves as the Chair of the Tri-Valley Transportation Committee, Danville's representative to the Association of Bay Area Governments for eight years, served on the Tri-valley Affordable Housing for ten years and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Contra Costa Mayor's Conference and also serves as its Vice-Chair.

Newell holds bachelors and masters degrees in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of California, Berkeley. For the past 32 years he has been a professional architect who is the principal owner of an architectural firm with offices in Oakland and Los Angeles and serves as President/CEO.

A panel of local business people and high school students will close the series on Wednesday, March 23 at California High's theater (9870 Broadmoor Drive, San Ramon). The unnamed panel will discuss the " Next Generation Workforce - What it Takes to Get the Great Jobs."

All events are free, though donations are accepted and will benefit the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. Registration is required through EventBrite; links can be found on the SRVUSD website.

If you can, go see Pat Lencioni. He is a dynamic speaker and one of the nicest men you could ever hope to meet. It will be time well spent!
