| Mark Curtis, a local author and political reporter, recently won a 2010 International Book Award for his book, "Age of Obama: A Reporter's Journey with Clinton, McCain and Obama in the Making of the President 2008."
The book took first place in the Current Events/Political-Social category and was also a finalist in the Non Fiction Narrative category.
In describing the recent presidential campaigns, Curtis said it was one of the most incredible and suspenseful where "every week was a cliffhanger."
Curtis currently splits his time between Danville and Providence, R.I., where he is the weekend anchor and chief political reporter for WLNE-TV ABC-6. He is also working towards a doctorate degree in educational leadership at St. Mary's College in Moraga.
For more information on Curtis, visit www.markcurtismedia.com. The book is available on Amazon and was also recently made available for Kindle users. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
