| A group of dancers took people by surprise Saturday morning when they broke out in random dance around Danville.
Sometimes called a flash mob, with popular examples getting millions of hits on YouTube.com, this seemingly spontaneous but organized traveling dance class started at Peet's Coffee on Railroad Avenue with a rendition of "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. With brightly-colored feather boas, they jogged on the Iron Horse Trail to Trader Joe's to showcase "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga. Traveling further down Iron Horse Trail, they headed to the Farmer's Market.
Mayor Mike Doyle stopped by to take in the performances and Cori Ann Lentz, founder and President of San Ramon Valley Fitness, said nearby businesses called to have the next flash mob at their businesses.
"The businesses in Danville, the mayor of Danville, the people of Danville and the town of Danville rocks to be so fun and supportive of our crazy way to encourage people to get fit," Lentz said.
