| With spring, comes high school golf. The Monte Vista High men's varsity golf team spent a sunny day on the green Roundhill Country Club against Foothill High on Thursday, March 4.
Both teams are top competitors in the league. The results last week were Foothill, 189; and Monte Vista, 195.
"We are looking forward to having another great golf season," said Monte Vista athletic liaison Jennifer Schikora. "We have a lot of talent returning from last year's team as well as a solid group of newcomers to add to the mix."— Dolores Fox Ciardelli Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? Posted by Hal Bailey, a member of the San Ramon Valley High School community, on Mar 11, 2010 at 6:29 pm Dear Dolores,
Why are high school golf teams noted as men and women when other sports are girls and boys. Is golf less emotional and childish?
What we expect from our young men and women in high school earns them that designation as young adults and the right to be treated as such, don't you think?
So far our community alliance with the partnership among students and teachers has created a very well-educated adult result. I think celebration is in order, right?
