Hundreds of car enthusiasts and curious residents came out to see about 250 antique and rare cars that lined Hartz Avenue in Danville at the Concours d'Elegance Sunday.
"I came out for the cars, the atmosphere and to enjoy this beautiful day," said car buff and longtime Danville resident Shawn Delaney.
While admission to the event was free, visitors were encouraged to make a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The Foundation, named for the movie and television actor who suffers from Parkinson's, is dedicated to finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Parkinson's disease. The event has been held since 2004 and has raised more than $1 million for Parkinson's research.
