Students and staff at San Ramon Valley, California and Monte Vista high schools wore white and green on Thursday to show support for a classmmate who died in a car crash.
Seventeen-year-old Robert Orlando, a senior at SRVHS, was killed Monday night on El Capitan Drive. Robert was the passenger in a vehicle that was traveling north on El Capitan Drive near Claridge Drive when it spun out of control and struck a tree on the right passenger side.
"The students want to get the word out about how the other High Schools in our community are honoring Robert Orlando," a message to the SRVHS community stated. "They would like our students, teachers and staff...to wear white tomorrow and show our solidarity during this trying time."
