Teachers and the principal of Tassajara Hills Elementary school took a night job Monday, serving up food for "McTeacher's Nights" at McDonald's. The event raised nearly $1,000 for the the school.
Twenty percent of the profits from food served between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. went to the schools, cording to Principal Ann Dodson.
"The owner is a parent in our school," Dodson said.
Brad Goldblatt owns the McDonald's at 10000 Crow Canyon; his daughter, Sara is a fifth-grader at Tassajara Hills.
Second grade teacher Judy Rohrbach said there was a great turnout.
"It was a constant crowd -- there was a line out the door," Rohrbach said.
Dodson said some parents went through the drive-in twice.
And, according to teachers aide Lisa Lee, it was fun, too.
"Making McFlurries was the most fun I've ever had," she said.
